One of the happiest sights on the land is when we spot someone quietly sitting, thinking, or reading.
So much of the magic here is visible. We can watch families play, hear the laughter in conversations, see people kayak, and even relax in a pool with guests.
But our sense is that the visible is only a small part of the experience for most people. It's in those silent, solitary moments of reading and thinking that the real experience is taking place.
It's not ours to witness. It's yours to let live.
We encourage everyone to plan "do nothing" time during your visit. If you're joining us for a three-hour soaking block, consider bringing a picnic for the patio afterward or taking our free canoe out for a voyage before your session starts.
If you're joining us for two or three nights, bring books and journals, or enjoy the personal yoga and meditation studio in our retreat yurt.
Whatever you come to do, be sure to make time to "not do" while you're here.
Thanks to Natalie Cass of Cass Studios for showing us how to do nothing like a pro.
