We often call ourselves a “working” Retreat Center. While our priority is and always will be inviting guests to soak, stay, and explore in the quest for wellness, we are also constantly working and planning for what’s to come.
In the years ahead, we view the guest experience growing to more than just soaking and staying. We see guests becoming more involved in what a 45-acre off-grid experience requires. We see food production, animal rearing, permaculture design, education, and oh so much more. We also see a path to let guests learn from and contribute to those chapters ahead.
The first step in that direction is our new weekly tradition called Volunteer Access Monday—where up to ten strangers lend a few hours on behind-the-scenes projects in exchange for an evening of private soaking.
We never want cost to be a barrier to what we view as a public resource. At the same time, we value relationships, collaboration, and the free-flowing exchange of talent, time, and enthusiasm.
Cheers to our inaugural crew of dirt movers and weed pullers—Lin, Shannon, Jennifer, Elijah, Hans, and more!
